Virginia L. Franks whose range of artistic expression includes painting oils and watercolor. Early in her career she designed advertisements for the Seattle Telephone Company. Her creative talent was reflected when she worked for a few years as a commissioned painter and decorator for Jefferson House Interior Design. Art experiences encompass years of drawing, painting and dedicated study. She majored in Art at Pasadena City College, and graduated from Chouinards Art Institute in Los Angeles; attended classes at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and studied under such highly respected artists as Millard Sheets, Phil Dike, Rex Brandt and Phil Paradise. In recent years, she has expanded her training with Milford Zornes, Robert E. Wood, and Roger Armstrong. Mrs. Franks has competed in numerous juried exhibitions and has won many awards. She has been a member of the San Gabriel Fine Arts Association, Mid-Valley Arts League Inc., and Niguel Art Association. Virginia presently lives at the Covington in Aliso Viejo, and is the artistic director for the large` community of residents. Her original works were under V. Zebold, then V. Zebold-Franks, and now V. Franks. You will see below photographic records of her many years of art expression - only a sampling of the hundreds and hundreds of fine art. Virginia still paints, and is available for custom art painting on call only under limited conditions.
